RESEARCH: Finding Work in The Arts Community

8:54 am in Resources & News by EALLA

A message to EAL/LA members from Victoria Plettner-Saunders, doing research on how people find work in the arts. If you have feedback to share please contact Victoria directly.

I’m doing some national research on how people search for and find work in the arts community. If you’ve had experiences (good, bad and otherwise) searching for a job in our field that you’d like to share with me, as well as to answer a few questions that I have to support my research, I’d be most grateful.

I’m very aware that there are a lot of people looking for work in the arts and that emerging arts professionals struggle just finding entry level work. In an effort to identify support systems, your input could be very helpful.

I am also aware that many are looking for contract, consulting and freelance work and I’d like to hear about your needs as well. Where do you go to look for work?

Respond to me directly and I will keep our conversation completely confidential.
Many thanks in advance  to your consideration of this request.

Have a great weekend

– Victoria
