The event showcases arts practitioners and representatives of organizations that send shockwaves through our city with “disruptive” ideas that push boundaries, question conventional ways of thinking or otherwise destabilize the status quo. “Disruption” in the field of business is positive, with disruptive products or business models constantly sought after and applauded as signs of true innovation.
Local Spotlight: Investing in Sustained Arts Leadership in L.A.

A local spotlight on three local arts leaders who will share how funding through the Next Generation Arts Leadership Initiative has impacted their work. Representing the three categories of grants: organizational, individual, and network, our speakers’ stories will bring to life a local side of this statewide initiative and underscore the importance of nurturing the next generation of arts leaders in Los Angeles.

We’re starting January off with a Talk Nerdy to Me workshop on WordPress. The TNTM series returns with a fun filled evening exploring blogging on one of the largest blog hosting sites available. Communications Co Chair, K. Ryan Henisey will lead participants through the ins and outs of WordPress for small blogs, like his personal art blog LifeAsGood.com, to large sites, like EALLA.org. This workshop will take place on January 9th on the LACMA Campus. All members are welcome.
