Ways to Connect with Members

Connect with other Members

The purpose of ealla.org site is to provide EAL/LA members the ability to connect with other members for networking, professional development, share ideas and/or collaboration.

You can view a list of Members under the “Community” tab in the menu by clicking on the “Members Directory” link. On the Members Directory page you can browse other members profiles, send them a message or mention a member in a post. You can also narrow your search by using the “Order By:” search filter to sort Members by Last Active, Newest Registered and Alphabetical.

Members Dir

On the Members Directory page you can send a friendship request to another member by selecting the “Add Friend” button. That person will then receive a friendship request notification which they then can choose to either accept or deny.

Add Friend

Once your friendship request has been accepted, you will receive a notification message in the Admin Bar at the top of the site and an email in your inbox.

You can also create connections with people who share the same interests as you by clicking on any of the links on your own profile page (e.g. Focus Area, Job Function, Interests/Involvement, etc.).

You can view Groups that have already been established by clicking on the “Groups Directory” link under the “Community” tab in the menu. Click on the “Join Group” button to send a request to join a Group.
